Dr Calvin Ho JDS (Cornell) PCLT (MIT) FRSPH (UK) is Associate Professor with the Faculty of Law at Monash University in Melbourne (Australia), and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Medical Ethics at the University of Hong Kong. He is the author of Juridification in Bioethics (Imperial College Press, 2016) and an author of the WHO Guidelines on Ethical Issues in Public Health Surveillance (World Health Organization, 2017).
Additionally, he has published extensively on global health law and ethics, and the governance of health and biomedical technologies (with focus on medical Artificial Intelligence and data analytics). Calvin is Co-Chair of the Expert Group on the Ethics of Social Listening and Infodemic Management, as well as a member of the COVID-19 Ethics & Governance Working Group of the World Health Organization (WHO). He is also an Ethics Board member of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), and he was the Co-Chair of the Accountability Work Group of the Regulation and Ethics Work Stream of the Global Alliance for Genomics & Health.
