Dr Dame June Raine, Chief Executive, MHRA, explains the developing role of the regulator as supporting and enabling science into health. Dame June sets out the opportunities for new data, genomic methodologies and regulatory science and the partnerships, including between the MHRA and PHG Foundation, working to realise these opportunities. Pharmacogenomics is just one area Dame June addresses where the MHRA is transforming its role of regulator to better support innovation and make UK healthcare better.

Professor Dame Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer of NHS England, discusses the evolution of genomics in the NHS in England, highlighting the international recognition of the NHS as the world-leader in the implementation of genomics in public healthcare.
