Long-time friends and supporters gathered together at Trinity College, Cambridge on 20 April to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.
Members of The Sixteen opened the gala dinner with a stunning rendition of Laudi Spirituali.
Prof Dame Sally Davies, Master of Trinity College, gave a warm welcome to 150 invited guests from the UK and around the world including Canada, Hong Kong, and France, Luminaries of health policy, academia, law and medicine joined speakers from the Making Science Work for Health policy summit which took place earlier that day.
In his speech, Dr Ron Zimmern, Chairman, PHG Foundation, confirmed Dr Pete Mills as our Director Designate. Pete will be taking over from current Director Dr Mark Kroese in June.
Commenting on the significant impact of the PHG Foundation, relative to its size, Prof Patrick Maxwell, quoted anthropologist Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has” adding that, under the umbrella of the Clinical School he believes the PHG Foundation can ‘have even more impact than before’.
