Jobs and training
Our reputation as a leading health policy think tank is built on the experience and expertise of our team of professionals with backgrounds in science, health and public policy. We also help young people at the start of their careers to gain experience by providing training placements, paid internships and opportunities for volunteering and work experience. We are committed to equality of opportunity, which supports and encourages all under-represented groups, promotes an inclusive culture, and values diversity.
If you are offered a position it will be conditional upon you providing proof of your entitlement to work in the UK. To enable us to check this we ask all applicants to complete and return the pre-employment checks form which can be found here.
Training and development opportunities
We are able to provide bespoke training and personal development opportunities for postgraduate students, trainees and visiting scholars.
Specialist Registrars in Public Health
We are accredited by the Faculty of Public Health to offer training placements in public health genomics for Specialist Registrars on secondment from their main training scheme. Trainees are supervised by experienced Consultants in Public Health Medicine.
We offer a small number of internship opportunities throughout the year. Most are advertised through HEIs and doctoral training partnerships; some may be advertised on this page. Internships are for a minimum of three months and may offer roles supporting our core programme, marketing or fundraising. For those without HEI, research council or other sponsorship we will pay the Living Wage.
Volunteering and work experience
We welcome enquiries from suitably qualified people who are interested in volunteering to support the Foundation's work. We will consider enquiries about short term work experience from applicants with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in science, health or related business functions.
For more information about any of these opportunities, please contact us.
